However, Trimstix also uses artificial sweeteners, which may not sit well with people who prefer natural options like Stevia.

Below, we’ll take a closer look at the pros and cons of this fat burner, including its ingredients and the science behind them.

Trimstix Ingredients

As you can see, Trimstix has put all of its ingredients within a proprietary blend. What is a proprietary blend? It’s a mixture that shows you the combined dose of the ingredients that are inside – but not their individual doses. This is a problem because, it prevents us from knowing if they’re effectively and safely dosed.

There are a couple of great ingredients in Trimstix, such as green tea extract, green coffee extract and garcinia cambogia. These all can help you with weight loss, be it by suppressing appetite or by increasing your metabolism to burn more calories. But Trimstix also contains the likes of Synephrine which fall in the risky category. You’ll also notice that under “other ingredients” there is “sucralose,” a synthetic sweetener known to negatively influence our gut microbiome.

Here’s a closer look.

Here are the ingredients in Trimstix:

Fibersol (resistant maltodextrin)

This is a type of carbohydrate that swells in your stomach, leading to increased satiety and feelings of fullness. [1] However, resistant maltodextrin isn’t the best appetite suppressant out there. Ingredients like Glucomannan are currently the most effective natural options for reducing hunger and food cravings, and sustaining satiety for longer.

L-Carnitine tartrate

L-carnitine is an amino acid with mixed evidence when it comes to fat loss. Some studies show that people who’re deficient in carnitine may benefit from supplementation. However, since our body makes its own carnitine and we also get some from food, most studies don’t show any significant shifts in body weight in people who supplement it.

Proprietary flavonoid blend

This blend consists of coffea robusta, Myrica rubra, and Allium cepa. All of these are natural sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect your cells from oxidative stress, which makes them excellent for general health purposes.

Green Coffee Extract

Green Coffee Extract is a raw unroasted coffee bean. Although it doesn’t have much caffeine, it contains something known as chlorogenic acid, which is shown to balance blood sugar levels – consequently, reducing food cravings and energy swings. [2]

Choline Bitartrate

Choline is a bit of an odd choice for a fat burner! Since it mainly affects brain health, it’s more often seen in nootropics. However, the form of choline used in Trimstix is Bitartrate, which has poor bioavailability and can’t cross blood-brain barrier that easily. So even its nootropic effects are questionable here. A better option would be CDP-Choline which, granted, costs more to produce, but is also higher-quality and easily absorbed by our body.

Green Tea Leaf Extract

This is an excellent choice. It helps promote metabolic rate thanks to its EGCG molecules. With green tea, you need optimal dose to get the fat burning effect. We don’t know how much is in Trimstix since it’s a part of a proprietary blend.

Citrus Aurantium Extract

Now, Citrus Aurantium is an ingredient we don’t think any fat burner should use. At first glance, it sounds like an innocent ingredient. However, it contains a compound called Synephrine, which is similar in structure and effects to the banned substance Ephedra. It may cause heart palpitations, high blood pressure, and other negative side effects – especially when you combine it with other stimulants like caffeine. [3] Speaking of which…

Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine doesn’t need much introduction. Its stimulatory effects ensure you have more energy, focus, and feel better overall. What’s more, caffeine aids fat burning by increasing your metabolism – making you spend more calories for energy. However, it’s never smart to pair caffeine with other stimulants due to the risk of side effects. Additionally, you don’t want want to overserve caffeine as too much will only lead to jitters, anxiety, and other potentially dangerous side effects.

Garcinia Cambogia Extract

Garcinia Cambogia is a source of Hydroxycitric Acid, also known as HCA. This compound can aid weight loss by making your body break down fat more efficiently. Garcinia is another ingredient with which more isn’t better. Too much Garcinia can cause liver strain. [4]

White Willow Bark Extract

One of the more popular weight loss aids you’ll see online is White Willow Bark. It is a natural substance that has been used for centuries to treat pain and inflammation. But what do the studies say?

While it may not be a miracle drug, there are many documented cases where White Willow Bark has helped people lose weight by reducing inflammation and pain from arthritis and gout as well as other ailments. It also reduces stress which can prevent overeating when feeling stressed out.

Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is a natural carotenoid found in seaweed. It has been discovered to have the ability to inhibit fat accumulation, improve weight loss, and prevent metabolic disorders. However, most of the evidence comes from animals. Until it’s proven to work in humans, we’d like to see other, tried and tested ingredients in its stead – such as cayenne pepper extract, vitamin D, and chromium.

Reviews and Testimonials

Trimstix reviews can easily be found online, including on Amazon, Reddit, and other big websites. We do think a combination of other people’s reviews and doing your own research on the ingredients is the best way to go, as other testimonials can easily be faked or manipulated. Independent reviews from professionals are always the most reliable way to gauge how the product will work for you.

Side Effects

Trimstix does contain caffeine and Synephrine, which means it might not be safe for people intolerant to stimulants. What makes it even more risky is that we can’t see the doses of these ingredients.

It’s important to check with your doctor if you aren’t sure if this product is right for you. Remember that we do not offer medical advice here at MM; our posts are informational in nature only!

Cost, Where to Buy, and Other Things to Consider

Depending on where you buy it, a month’s worth of Trimstix will cost you around $75.

Do we rate this as a good value for money? Considering it’s not transparent, uses ingredients that aren’t proven to work, and misses some of the best natural fat burner herbs and nutrients, we’d say Trimstix is not a good value for money. For the price, it’s possible to find better, more transparent, and safer fat burner supplements.

Trimstix Review: The Bottom Line

Trimstix is a highly popular weight loss product with some great ingredients; including green tea, caffeine, and green coffee bean.

However, these ingredients are all hidden within a proprietary blend so you can’t see exactly how much you’re getting.

It’s also using an aggressive stimulant Citrus Aurantium (Synephrine), and has omitted some core ingredients. This not nly makes it underwhelming in its fat-burning effects, but also potentially unsafe.

Because of these downsides, we don’t think Trimstix is the best fat burner on the market today.
